In April 2005, Mother and Child Africa was established as an NGO to address maternal and infant mortality issues in Nigeria. It was privately funded. Our primary focus was the welfare and well-being of pregnant women and children in their first year of life. We intervened financially in the areas of pre and post natal attendance, and safe delivery.
We were also involved in tertiary education for the orphaned and/or indigent girl child.

In 2018, WE focused on women empowerment and expanded our scope and reach. We established a networking platform, EBONY GOLD, to enable as many women as possible benefit from our intervention. We launched MOMPRENEURSHIP, a scheme to advance capital to market women to enable them become financial members of Mother and Child Africa from their profits. Our goal was poverty reduction and eradication.Large scale default and increasing demand for our services led us to re-evaluate our strategy.
This led us to the realization that poverty, the destruction of the poor, was not a lack of money, but lack of knowledge and ideas. A radically different approach was needed if we were to succeed.

This led to the birth of EBONY WORLD CAPITAL LIMITED in April 2019. Our focus shifted from poverty reduction to wealth creation. Our doors were flung open to all and sundry. We reinvented and renewed.
Everything changed.
